Will CoolStick fit my specific Ford Ranger year?
Yes — CoolStick Hybrid is designed to fit all Ford Ranger models. The sensor is compact and designed to work with the standard Ford Ranger coolant reservoir. If you’re unsure, contact us with your model year and we’ll confirm compatibility.
Do I need a mechanic to install it?
Not at all. CoolStick is designed for DIY installation. There’s no wiring involved — you simply place the sensor in your coolant reservoir and set up the receiver in your cab. Most customers complete installation in under 5 minutes.
How long do the batteries last?
The sensor batteries last approximately 1 year under normal use. Replacement is simple and uses standard batteries available at any supermarket or hardware store. The receiver charges via USB-C and only needs charging approximately once a month.
What happens if the sensor stops communicating?
CoolStick features automatic health checks. If the receiver hasn’t received a signal from the sensor for more than 24 hours, it will alert you. This means you always know when the system is working — no need to manually test it.
Does it work on other vehicles besides Ford Ranger?
Yes! CoolStick Hybrid is now compatible with all vehicle makes and models. It was originally developed specifically for Ford Rangers due to their known EGR and coolant pipe issues, but the system works universally.
What is the warranty?
CoolStick comes with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects. If you experience any issues, contact us directly and we’ll resolve it quickly.
